Jessica L. Shea
M.S., BCBA, EXECUTIVE PARTNERJessica Shea is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst and holds a graduate certificate in Positive Behavior Support (PBS). She earned her bachelor of science degree from the University of South Florida with a double major in Business Management and Finance. She also earned her Masters degree in behavior analysis from the University of South Florida. Jessica Shea has been certified in behavior analysis for the past 11 years. She has worked within the community providing behavior services as a consultant prior to starting Achieve. Her experiences include working with children and adults with autism and other developmental delays. Jessica Shea has completed research and practical experiences in the areas of verbal behavior and Positive Behavior Support within the school system.
She is the Executive Partner of Achieve Behavior Partners, LLC and previously supervised the application of behavior principles within the school setting for underprivileged youth and was the Clinical Director at Impact Academy supervising RBT’s and classroom behavior aids for children with special needs. Jessica Shea has lived in the Tampa Bay area for 23 years. She currently lives in the South Tampa area with her husband, son and 2 daughters.
Her goal when working with families is to collaborate with all persons involved to establish a team of supports to help individuals achieve success.
Karen L. Austin
ED.S., BCBA, MANAGING PARTNERKaren Austin is a licensed school psychologist and Board Certified Behavior Analyst. She earned her bachelor of science degree at Florida State University with a major in Psychology and her Masters and Education Specialist degrees at the University of South Florida with concentration in School Psychology. Additional training in behavior analysis was done through the Florida Institute of Technology. Karen previously worked as a school psychologist for over 15 years with Hillsborough County Public Schools. During that time she provided school psychological services in elementary, middle, high, and technical schools. She served as a member of the District Crisis Intervention Team, and provided behavior consultation for difficult and high profile cases through the Functional Assessment Consultation Team for 10 years. Karen was awarded the 2014 Special Instructional Services Person of the Year Award from the Council for Exceptional Children.
Karen Austin has been certified in behavior analysis since 2005. She has provided supervision to candidates for certification in behavior analysis for the past several years. Karen provided behavior services within the community previously as a consultant with Behavior Change Consultants, LLC and through private practice. Karen is the Managing Partner of Achieve Behavior Partners, LLC and is the primary supervising BCBA for community and clinic clients, as well as manages the school psychology services provided through Achieve. Karen has resided in the Tampa Bay area since 1997. She currently lives in the South Tampa area with her husband and two boys.
Her goal when working with children and families is to promote a healthy and happy environment where all members of a family can achieve their highest potential.
