Absolutely ORIGINAL this is the P 1841 Sappers and Miner's Bayonet for use with the short Percussion (or Flintlock converted) Musket issued to Specialized troops. Fitted with a 22" Sword blade but used additionally as a socket bayonet. Blade marked "S HILL" the British Government contractor who manufactured the weapon. Blade marked with faint acceptance marks shows some pitting but not much wear
