This is a lovely example of a British “Broad Arrow” marked 8 ½ pound practice bomb

The changes made to this new model was the use of a more matte field grey finish and the vent holes were now integral to the helmets shell

which is usually the first place on a uniform to show wear

if a grenade was to be used as a fixed booby-trap then an instantaneous fuse would be fitted

We did note that the grip scales seem to be machined aluminum
