It shows Oberleutnant (Senior Lieutenant) Hermann Wonde (19151987), Leader of the 6th Company of Reiter Regiment 41, who was awarded the Knights Cross on March 23, 1945. He received his promotion to Oberleutnant on May 1, 1945. In the picture, he also wears a Close Combat Clasp, an Iron Cross 1st Class, and a Wound Badge in Black.
