This is an excellent example of a Smith & Wesson . 32 caliber rimfire Model 2, with a 6 inch barrel. The serial number is 4015 dating the year of production to be approximately 1862, quite early in the war. The rosewood grips are original and have a matching serial number on one, and still a good amount of the original varnish. Wonderful finish to the metal work, still showing the original case hardened blue in many
