This is a great example of a Transitional two tone color M1923 cartridge belt. The M1923 in olive drab #3 ('khaki') was manufactured from 1940 1943. 1943 is typically the transitional year where the color changed from olive drab #3 to #7 (green), but in truth this spanned 1942 1944. This can be seen here with the pouch flaps being the brighter khaki color. In 1945 the M1903 stripper clip retaining straps were dropped
