the left side of the cap presents a silver and black-enamelled cap badge bearing a leaping greyhound

and since 1917 with the 1st Naval Pilot detachment in Flanders

bent forward and with the seat of his pants consisting of a brown embroidered pin cushion

A Pilot’s Qualification Badge, Field Pilot No. 224 Archive Iron Cross Second Class 1939A rare stylized diving eagle in gilt, resting on a gilt Slovakian emblem, the Apostolic Cross on the Upper Lands, surrounded by a silver wreath of linden leaves, reverse with a replacement vertical pin, numbered 224 on the center, measuring 61. 4 mm (w) x 50. 8 mm (h), light contact, loss of gilt to eagle, a rare piece in very fine condition.
