This was almost certainly a REGIMENTAL Private Purchase directly from the Gun Maker Henry Nock of London circa 1805, as indicated by the H. NOCK on the lock plate. It is equipped with a "captured" swivel ramrod, later adopted as a characteristic of the "NEW LAND PATTERN." It is not fitted for a butt Cap and has brass fittings: trigger guard, side plate, ramrod pipe and nose cap. It has a 9 inch long barrel in the
