Vieira de Sousa Vintage Port Wine, 2017 dry riesling ranging between thirty-five and fortyThis Port is made from a blend of Touriga Nacional, Touriga Francesa, Tinta Roriz, and others from 40 year old south facing vineyards at the top of the estate. 2017 was unusually dry in the Douro, causing the grapes to ripen earlier, but nevertheless was an excellent harvest. It is concentrated and full of fresh fruit, with rich tannins and a robust finish. We would pair it with a dark chocolate tart.
