A rare award document for a Lapland Shield, constructed of off white paper with black ink, named to OBGFR. JOHANN SCHMIDEDER of the regimental staff company of Gebirgsjger Regiment 143 (6. Gebirgs Division), dated 20 July 1945 and certified by the handwritten signature of an unidentified Oberstleutnant, measuring 15 cm (w) x 20. 5 cm (h), in near extremely fine condition.
