Constructed of gilded bronze, on loop for suspension, the obverse with a leftward facing profile of Duke Friedrich Wilhelm of Braunschweig, circumscribed by name and title, the reverse with the Totenkopf insignia of the 17th Hussar Regiment, above an inscription of PENINSULA and dates 1809 1909, unmarked, measuring 35 mm in diameter, in near extremely fine condition.
