Description

The katana has a handmade blade with a Futsu Nakago (普通中心 -regular shaped tang) with a KURIJIRI (栗尻 -symmetrical rounded) nakago-jiri (tang tip)

which means with some waxing it would really "pop"

The most notable aspect of this helmet  is the beautiful hand painted 94th Infantry Division unit logo which was painted during the early part of the Occupation of Germany and applied Captain’s bars insignia

This is the first of this type of life preserver that we have had

however we previously had a Brown Bess dated 1761 from this maker
