In silver, measuring 36 mm in diameter, exhibiting slight tarnishing, original frayed ribbon with a bow tie at its top end, encased within an ornate frame under glass, the frame lined in maroon felt and bearing a plaque engraved "J. A. Taut. 1832 1899." that is secured in place via two pins, with some silvering wear evident on the wooden frame, near extremely fine. Footnote: The Crimea Medal was a campaign medal
