This is fascinating, the hilt being a carved Elephant's tooth mounted onto a short dagger blade ,which shows much use probably from skinning game or possibly personal protection. 7 3 4" Overall length, the triple fullered blade is 5 1 2". Comes complete with a light wood scabbard with large silver top mount mouth piece. Intended to be worn next to the body in sash or loin cloth. Clearly very old and a real topic for
