Major Mfg - HIT-23 - Backset Redrill / Drill Guide for Relocating Cross Bore Holes Work Lights 500xJMA-KWI-2DC-ENGRAVEDA must have tool for all locksmiths. Used to "move over" an existing 2 3 8" backset hole to 2 3 4" or 2 3 4" to 2 3 8" or to correct a mis drilled hole. The HIT 23 attatches by screwing into the existing latch faceplate mortise. A standard hole saw (not supplied) can then be guided to correct the bore. The HIT 23 is supplied with a drill blank to replace the hole saw pilot bit to reduce wear on the guide holes.
