Marshall Field and Company 28 shop 1940s white rayon dress and jacket trimmed in fine wale black corduroy. The 28 shop was a boutique created within the Marshall Field department store in Chicago in 1941. It was named for the boutique's private elevator entrance to the store on 28 E Washington Street. The shop had 28 dressing rooms and featured the finest designer clothing from the time.
