This is a post WWII 40mm VOG-25 grenade that was designed for use with the following grenade launchers: GP-25 and GP-30 under-barrel grenade launchers mounted on AK-47 and AK-74 assault rifles GP-95 under-barrel grenade launcher mounted on 9A-91 compact assault rifle RG-6 and "AVALANCHE" revolver grenade launcher

shooting down one enemy plane and damaging two others on the former day and two more planes off Lunga Point on the latter

It fought in Holland and Belgium and was later stationed on the Channel coast and Paris before returning to Berlin late 1940

It took part in the actions at LEXINGTON and CONCORD with 2 Killed and four wounded
