An Order of the Star of Romania, Officer’s Cross to Romanian Diplomat George Stoicescue, Stationed in Japan, 1930s Hold 26 December 1812 by GrandAn Order of the Star of Romania, Officers Cross, Type I, in silver gilt and enamels, measures 42. 4 mm (w) x 62. 8 mm, notable enamel damage to all arms, remains near very fine. Contained in the original case of issue, burgundy exterior, silk interior marked G. Lemaitre, functional hinge and clasp, very fine. Footnote: George G. Stoicescu was a Romanian diplomat active in the interwar period, particularly known for his long service in Tokyo, Japan
