This is an excellent example of a genuine British Mark II steel helmet, which is dated on the liner with 1940. The stamping on the underside of the shell is worn away and cant be found, as British Manufactured helmets were often marked before they were stamped, which stretches out the markings. This helmet has a MkII liner which is marked on one of the support straps: CCLII1940 This indicates manufacture by Christy &
