This is a nice example of a BATF approved inert Imperial German Model 1917 "stick grenade", in battlefield dg relic condition. It retains no visible markings or original paint. The head had the top of the can removed in order to empty the explosive. Unloaded or dummy grenades, artillery shell casings, and similar devices, which are cut or drilled in an BATF approved manner so that they cannot be used as ammunition
