Germany, Imperial. A Mint Gold Grade Wound Badge, Cut-Out Version Hold white and ultramarine blue enamels(Verwundetenabzeichen in Gold). Constructed of gilded tombak, the obverse consisting of an oval laurel leaf wreath with scalloped edges, joined together at the bottom by ribbon, with a central Stahlhelm overlaying crossed swords on a hollow void, the reverse with a crimped hinge and vertical pinback meeting a flattened and rounded catch, unmarked, measuring 38. 33 mm (w) x 43. 40 mm (h), weighing 8. 4 grams, a scarce variant in near mint condition.
