These are the original flat Mk 1 muzzle cones showing highly dramatic BATTLE DAMAGE! This flat version was replaced by the pointed Mk 3 cone to minimize the kind of damage illustrated in these three samples. When the muzzle attachment is hit, its alignment with the bore is changed, and typically the next round or two hit the edge of the central hole in the attachment.
