producing many long-lived Barolo and Barbaresco wines

Sporting a very deep purple-black color

Cappellano, Barolo, Otin Fiorin, Pie Rupestris 1999 Sancerre menthol and dark fruitBase of neck 96 CellarTracker Double decanted int he AM. Drunk over several hours. Dark cherry, roses, tar and balsam on the nose. A beautiful Serralunga perfume. Sappy and broad on the the palate with terrific palate presence and inner mouth perfume. It was a bit tight at the beginning of the night, but with time continued to grow over the evening reaching the fantastic '95 Rupestris by the end of the night. Finishes long with firm ripe tannins.
