Constructed of silvered tombak, the obverse consisting of a German national eagle perched on top of a wreathed mobile swastika, in turn set on top of a trapezoidal plaque bearing a raised date of 1939, the reverse with all four attachment prongs, affixed to a period original length of ribbon, unmarked, measuring 30. 40 mm (w) x 30. 66 mm (h),
