A circular gilded brass medal, the obverse depicting the petrochemical complex of western Siberia with a Hammer and Sickle superimposed on the award, inscribed on the edge of the medal with its name in Russian script, the reverse depicting a five pointed star emitting rays from between its arms with the letters CCCP superimposed on the medal, on a pentagonal ribbon for suspension, with an aluminum disc core, measuring
