Our plant comes from Texan Shawn Stegent

It was later introduced to cultivation in 2004 by California's Huntington Botanic Garden' International Succulent Introduction program

it's made a lovely 1" tallx 15" wide clump due to a branched rhizome that seems to grow in circles

the clumps are topped with short spikes of pink flowers in late spring

but the border eventually widens

In the garden, Asarum caudigerellum forms a ground hugging deciduous groundcover of fuzzy heart shaped green leaves. The plants are adorned for us, starting in early April with small reddish bronze flowers, each with short floral tips. In
