This is a scarce set of WWI M1917 Marching shoes, which are well marked but without a complete date we can see. This model of shoe saw heavy service in the U. S. Army during WWI, having replaced the Model 1912 Russet shoes. They are matched, size 7 . Both shoes retains their laces but both laces have some fraying as shown.
