This is a fantastic totally inert, wood construction, drill round for the USN 3 in. 50 calibers QF gun that weighs 22. 5lbs, and measures 31 1 4 in length. The round is in very good condition and is weighted to match a live shell for accurate training handling purposes. The base plate is brass, and unfortunately has quite a bit of oxidation around the edges, which have made the original markings impossible to see.
