This is a fine condition, WWII period Mark 3 U. S. fighting knife, made by the very scarce maker, Kinfolks, Inc. Of the 2,590,240 ordered by the U. S. Government, Kinfolks produced only 119,702, and was definitely one of the minor contractors. The company still exists today, producing fine cutlery. This knife is early production, indicated by the maker information being stamped directly on the blade: U. S. M3
