Just received out of an old collection along with about 100 other swords! This is the standard Union Officer's Dress or Parade Sword Model 1860, as issued during the Civil War. It has a very nice etched 30" steel blade, bearing the usual Federal Eagle and stands of arms. There is not any maker or outfitter listed on the blade, possibly because the etching has worn off the ricasso. The sword measures 35 1 2" overall,
