Constructed of gilded bronze, the obverse depicting a rightward facing bust of Franz Joseph I circumscribed by name and title, the reverse inscribed DER TAPFERKEIT (FOR BRAVERY), on loop for suspension from its period original tri fold ribbon, with magnetic metal hook and loop, marked BRONZE on the rim, measuring 40. 30 mm in diameter, weighing 22. 6 grams, in extremely
