Yellowed with age there is some small old damage to the left margin which has been repaired using ancient scotch tape

The Highflyer was repaired and returned to duty with the British squadron

S Civil War and much original finish is still present with some small sections of case hardening

as well as serial number 192

Specifically produced in England for the North American Fur Trade, this is a Flintlock Trade pistol intended for the use of the Trappers and the Native American population as well. The barrel is marked LONDON on the top, and bears numerous London Proof House Marks near the breech. The lock plate is marked faintly with SQUIRES & Co., and the pistol has all brass mounts. W. SQUIRES worked in London from 1777 1800.
