Both have US marked on the handle and are offered in very good condition

but had a slightly longer case

the meaning of which we have been unable to decipher

The wood stock is tight and clean with multiple additional acceptance marks that can be seen under the years of wax and varnish type finish making this lovely to behold

Original U.S. Remington .41 Rimfire Over & Under Gambler’s Two Shot Pocket Pistol Serial 940 c. 1875 Brown Bess Muskets Both have US marked onOriginal Item: Only One Available. Originally patented in 1858, these became very popular on the River Boats of the great Mississippi river in the 1870's. They were often used by gamblers and others who would require protection on the often dark decks. Fully nickel plated of which most remains, having just a 3" barrel and 4 3 4 overall, this was ideal for a waistcoat pocket. The barrel top strap is marked with the Remington Address: REMINGTON ARMS CO.
