This is an unaltered Model 1890 Turkish Mauser sword bayonet retaining the full length 18" blade with blood gutter down each side. The blade is extensively marked in Turkish and the steel cross guard also bears the weapon's serial number. The bayonet features a hooked quillion with ball end used for rifle stacking and to engage an opponent's blade in combat. The grip plates are wood and are retained by rivets. The
