It was originally commissioned to artisans by the noble Florentine family the Medici, as a gift to the peasants as a symbol of prosperity and good fortune. The Rooster Jug is identified by its shape of a rooster and majolica decor however we have reinterpreted the decor to bring it to the IVO table
