This is one of the nicest and most substantial British Naval Boarding Cutlasses we've ever encountered. It was definitely intended for Combat, not for training like the "Lead Cutter". The blade measures 27" in length and almost 2" wide at it's broadest point. It is heavily stamped on the left side of the blade with a CROWN over "V. R.", the Royal Cypher of Queen Victoria, who reigned 1837 1901. The hilt is of iron,
