This is an exceptionally rare wonderful condition Imperial Japanese Navy marked fencing helmet. Featuring an iron face mask, leather trimmed quilted cotton construction. The interior bears a Japanese Naval data tag. Size is approximately a US 7 (56cm). We've even found a photo of fencers aboard an Imperial Japanese Ship wearing this exact style helmet with sailors in uniform looking on. Fascinating!
