Constructed of silvered bronze with enamels, the obverse consisting of a black enameled disc bearing a raised and silvered Stahlhelm, in turn bearing an engraved inscription of DER STAHLHELM flanked by an Iron Cross, above silvered oak leaves and a date of 1923, the reverse with a crimped barrel hinge and banjo style pinback meeting a flat wire catch, maker marked with the logo of Stahlhof Magdeburg, measuring 30.
