Constructed of gilded bronze, the obverse consisting of a circular oak leaf wreath, surrounding a stags head topped by initials DJV (DEUTSCHER JAGDVERBANDES) and a number 40, the reverse with a horizontal pinback, maker marked with the logo of Steinhauer & Lck, Ldenscheid, measuring 40 mm (w) x 42 mm (h), in near extremely fine condition.
