The picture postcard shows an SS Unterscharfhrer, most likely of the Reconnaissance branch. The photo has been tinted. He wears an Iron Cross 1st Class and the 2nd Class ribbon, a Wound Badge in Silver, an Infantry Assault Badge in Silver, a Paratrooper Badge, and an Eastern Front Medal. The reverse of the card is unused.
