Our trials have shown it to be identical to the 2006 PPA Plant of the Year

with a stunning dark purple spathe highlighted by dramatic creamy yellow veins and an upright

with 1' tall spikes of small lavender flowers

so expect another decade or so before we offer this again

The upright growth habit, and good vigor make this a great garden performer. Starting for us in late February early March, the clumps are adorned with white flowers, each tipped in green, which compliments the green calyx.
