Original U.S. Pennsylvania Percussion Long Rifle with Faux Tiger Striping and Brass Patch Box - c.1840 Spanish American War or Hachijo-KyokujitsukiOriginal Item: Only One Available. This is really rather impressive and mimics the elaborate style of the long Flintlock rifle of the late 1700s and early 1800s. Most interesting is the faux tiger striping of the wood stock, due to the lack or great cost of genuine Tiger Maple wood at the time. There were several processes used to accomplish this, the most common of which was for the stock maker to bind the stock with wax soaked cord and and conduct a
