Cotton and silk shawl - Regal Madhya Sep25New Inspired by those unique viewsExtraordinary in its simplicity, the design of this shawl follows the dictates of Queen Ahilya Bai Holkar, who in the 18th century commissioned sarees to be designed without the traditional lavish floral motifs. Indian artisan Rajveer preserves this millenary style, known as Maheshwari, after the fort of the same name. He weaves the shawl on a traditional loom with beige and ivory cotton and silk threads. Maroon, gold and black frame the shawl
