Made in approximately 1940, this is a World War 2 German hand crank siren. It has a sound damper and the chopper, stator and handle are made of Bakelite. It constructed from a wonderful red bakelite and still functions by emitting a classic air raid siren screech when cranked. The reverse is maker marked JURK, the folding bakelite handle is marked Ziehen (Pull). The bakelite parts are of the most desirable red brown
