so it was apparently worn by a Heer Sergeant

It comes complete with the following early model features: A primitive three piece padded leather liner

the paint while old is still vibrant and the the detail of the art itself is second to none

probably from the last few decades

It was repainted for training at some point

M1917 "Doughboy" helmet, which features original period OD Green paint and an original liner. The front is features a lovely period Unit Insignia, which is a red circle with a black "tree" inside it, and a tan or gold acorn inside that. We unfortunately have not been able to identify this unit marking, as there were many units that no longer exist, and insignia can change over
