It is very lightweight and has been polished and restored beautifully with a few marks here and there

Circa 1810: Georgian Rosewood Tea Caddy furnishing an art deco home A wonderful piece filled withThis is a magnificent Georgian rosewood tea caddy with a classical sarcopahgus shape and bun feet. I love the elegant detail on the top and sides. The interior has its original parts, with double lidded tea compartments and a central glass mixing bowl. It is possible that the rope element was added at a later stage. The bowl would have been used to blend teas to personal taste, an elegant detail that speaks to the ceremony surrounding tea at the time.
