A beautiful vintage hand-painted Japanese kokeshi doll- the striking painted detail depicting a winter scene and patina (unpolished) of the wood are glorious

A wonderful example of practicing to create the real thing  There are some scuffs and scratches and areas where some of the inlay has come out but they are in perfect working order with lovely turned wood knobs too

These two are in good condition with only a few splits in the wicker in sections consistent with their age and use
