They have hardly been played with and have spent the last 6+ years in a lidded box in the bedroom. The Batman Gotham City takes 2 x AA batteries(not supplied) which go into the green compartment at the back. The bat symbol lights up and this part makes noises. The rotating swinging arm mechanism requires 4 x AA batteries which go in the part at the end of the swinging
