Sears, who lived in the eastern United States from 1821 to 1890 and wrote books and magazine articles about life in the wilderness under the pseudonym "Nessmuk". To honour his concept of outdoor equipment that is as lightweight as possible, the Danish knifemaker Jesper Voxnaes has developed this particularly compact version of the Nessmuk knife. The knife, made of D2 in
