The spirt is gently matured in Madeira casks, and then is transferred to the Mizunara oak casks. The casks then embark upon a unique sea voyage where the aging process continues. The distillery's research into the effect of wood selection on whisky maturation has led to the development of bespoke barrels, crafted from slow growth, air seasoned wood. These casks are handmade due to
